From Executive Director
Message from the Executive Director
Dear Friends, We are challenging you this year to GO GLOBAL! Our world is no longer our backyard. Technology has made it possible to reach the interior of a third world country via satellite. Television news programs take us there every day.
As business, corporate, community and church leaders, you are among the billions who call, e-mail, text, fly to and deliver packages to all parts of the world 24 hours a day seven days a week. All the while, there are actually millions of people in this world we actively interact with every day who are dying simply because they do not have access to food, clean water, medicine, sanitation.
Actually 1.1 billion people are forced to starve, drink and bathe in dirty disease-ridden water. It is the 21st century. How can we let this happen? How easy it would be if we each stopped for just a moment, and for just that one moment did something about it.
Sit and watch the second hand on your watch for 14 seconds. When it reaches that 14th second, a child just died. Watch how fast the next 14 seconds goes by. Clean water, food, medication, shelter, is the most essential element to human life and we are making it so easy for you to help us in our efforts to stop this insanity.
We are challenging you to join us by giving to The NILE. We have already identified several locations across the continent of Africa where we plan to provide our services.
The NILE’s initiatives and development projects will provide entire villages with shelter, food, clothing, education, skills, technology, clean fresh water, helping save the lives of millions. Orphanages and other charitable organizations would then also have a much-needed product to sell to nearby restaurants, hotels and commercial outposts. The profit would help support the ever-growing needs of these abandoned children for years to come.
Refuse to be a follower, instead help us lead the way to bring humanitarian aid to people in our new backyard. Jesus will one day say: Come you blessed of My Father, for I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was homeless and you gave me shelter, I was naked and you dressed me.
Thank you and God bless you!
David Ndiwanyu
Executive Director, The NILE African Development Organisation
